What to expect at the Comfort Everest Base Camp Trek?

Trekking to base camp is easier than any high-pass trek. The difficulty level of the trek is moderate, and no prior experience is required, but high altitude sickness can make it difficult. It is suggested that trekkers should have normal physical fitness. It also depends on which season you are going to trek in Everest Base Camp; in winter, it is more difficult than in autumn and spring. Sometimes Remember, you are walking the whole day through the icy trail, ridge, and rocky path, but the views compensate for your whole effort.

If you are interested in the trip, look at the detailed itinerary, where you will find all that you need to know beforehand. We do our utmost on safety to make the trip safe, fun, and as enjoyable as possible. All the field crews are well-equipped and well-trained by the company and government organizations. They are not only experienced, but they also have firsthand knowledge of the destination, as they grew up in the Everest region and are very familiar with their culture and customs. In an emergency, they act professionally as quickly as possible to mitigate the difficult situationAfter having lunch in Pangboche, you will visit the Amadblam Base Camp, which is off the normal EBC trek route. Moreover, you will have a great chance to meet the mountain climbers at Amadablam base camp and Everest base camp. While you are at EBC, you will be treated by the Khumbu glacier, wall-hanging Icefall, and Pomari Gokyo Valley on the back

How do you prepare for the Luxury Everest Trek?

Your preparation for the EBC trek depends on your physical condition. As long as you are healthy and fit, people from all walks of life and different age groups can do this trek easily. Normal, healthy people with a little bit of preparation before trekking and following a daily routine during the Everest trek will make it comfortable. Autumn (September to December) and spring (March to May) are the most favorable times of the year for the Everest Trek. However, if winter pushes more towards spring, it is expected to bring more snow at high elevations. The winter (December to February) and summer (Jun to August) weather is less favorable due to cold temperatures and monsoon rain for Mt. Everest trekking.

High-level standard accommodation, the best choice of food, the warm hospitality of locals en route, comfortable land transport as per our commitment, and first-hand customer care services are our priorities.

Itinerary

On the first day, you fly from your country and land at the Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu, Nepal, Here, you can see the representative from the Global Adventure Trekking team waiting for you. As they recognize you, they will take you from the airport to the hotel in a private vehicle. You can check in and rest in the hotel for some time and then meet us at Global Adventure Trekking's office in Thamel.

The guides from Global Adventure Trekking will give you a brief description of the overall Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek Route. Moreover, they also check whether you have all the necessary documents, paperwork, gear, and equipment required for the successful adventure to EBC and back. Furthermore, the Global Adventure Trekking team also offers a welcome dinner to the trekkers. After dinner, you can take a rest in the hotel.

On the second day, the Global Adventure Trekking team takes all the trekkers on a quick tour around the beautiful, traditional, and cultural spots in Kathmandu Valley. Moreover, you can also try several special cuisines and delicacies served by the locals in the valley. We recommend you try momo, thukpa, laphing, Sadheko Sukuti (Spiced Dry Meat), and similar other local cuisines while in Kathmandu.

Other than that, you can also explore some of the traditional and cultural heritages around Kathmandu. Some of the must-visit spots in Kathmandu are Pashupati Temple, Swayambhunath Stupa, Bouddha Stupa, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square, and many more. In the evening, you will be instructed by the guides about the entire trekking route and also check whether you have all the necessary items like gear and equipment or not.

Finally, we spent the night in the same hotel after having a healthy and fulfilling dinner.

On the third day, we embark on the luxury Everest Base Camp Trek journey with a comfortable and short flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. During the peak season, we follow another route which goes with a drive from Kathmandu to Ramechhap and then a flight from Ramechhap to Lukla.

Lukla Airport, also known as the Tenzing-Hilary Airport is one of the most adrenaline-rushing airports in the entire world. The flight from Kathmandu to Lukla takes around 35 minutes as we cover a distance of 184 km. As you reach Lukla by watching amazing landscapes and vistas, you can meet the GAT's representatives waiting for you. They receive you at the airport and then the trekkers embrace you on a trek from Lukla to Phakding.

Lukla to Phakding is a common route that trekkers have to cover for any treks in the Everest region. A beautiful village located at an altitude of 2800 meters or 8565 feet takes you into the lap of natural spectacles and landscapes. Starting from Lukla, we cover several waterfalls, rivers, forests, villages, and stone carvings in the boulder. After walking for around 4 hours and covering 8 kilometers, we finally reached Phakding and checked in at the Yeti Mountain Home.

After spending one night in Phakding and having a fulfilling breakfast, we ascend towards another checkpoint, Namche Bazar. Namche Bazar is a beautiful settlement at an altitude of 3440 meters or 11285 feet. Besides, we need to cover a total distance of 12 kilometers to complete this part of the Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek.

Starting from Phakding, we pass through Pine and Oak Trees and walk along the bank of the Dudh Koshi River. On your way, you can encounter several unique floras and traditionally settled villages. One of the major things to be considered during the ascend of this part of the Luxury Trekking to Everest Base Camp is that due to higher altitude, the chances of altitude sickness rise significantly. With proper precautions and preparation, one can walk through this route through suspension bridges, and small settlements like Japute, Toktak, Banker, and Manjo, where we stop for lunch.

After having lunch, we move towards a route that ascends and trekkers need to get their Sagarmatha Conservation Area Permits checked before en route to Namche Bazaar. Within the next 3 hours, trekkers will finally reach Namche Bazaar. Once you reach Namche, you can explore the place and try interacting with the locals or taking pictures and videos as memories.

Namche Bazaar is a beautiful town in the Everest Trekking region. Besides, this is also the last place with all the facilities and advancements to be seen during the Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek or any other trek in Everest. We don't mean that the higher part does not have any facilities but until this place, you can get all the basic facilities like hot water, WiFi, ATMs, and electricity for free.

Moreover, this place is also highly prone to altitude sickness as it is located at an altitude above 3000 meters. Due to both of these reasons, we mark the fifth day as acclimatization day. Yes, on the fifth day, we do not continue the Luxury ascend to the Everest Base Camp, instead, we go for a stroll or day hike to some side quests. Two of the highly popular day hikes from Namche are the hike to Everest View Hotel, the hotel located at the highest altitude of 3962 meters, or the hike to a beautiful village named Khumjung Village.

Khumjung village is also famous for the monastery that stands tall at an altitude of 3779 meters. This place holds a strong religious background for the Buddhists and other people living in that region. The Day Hike to both Everest View Hotel and Khumjung ends after the trekkers return to Namche for dinner and sound sleep.

Now it's time that the trekkers ascend from Monasteries to monasteries for a couple of days. After exploring the Khumjung Monastery on the fifth day, we start our journey towards another place famous for the monastery, Tengboche. This part of the Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek would certainly have been difficult. However, as you have booked the luxury version of the EBC trek, we at Global Adventure Trekking make sure that you face no difficulties at all.

After having breakfast, we set off on one of the best parts of the EBC Luxury trekking expedition. The entire route provides significant and eye-soothing views of several mountains like Mt. Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, and many more. If you are lucky enough, the route from Namche Bazaar to Tengboche can also encounter you several faunas like Pheasant, Musk deer, and Himalayan Thar. Other than that, the traditional stone-built houses, people wearing traditional dresses, and cattle grazing the pastures also win your heart for sure.

After around 5 hours of walking, trekkers finally reach Tengboche, a beautifully settled village famous for the oldest monastery in the entire Everest region. Finally, we end our day with breakfast and night stay at Hotel Himalaya or Hotel Trekkers

From Tengboche, the Luxury Everest Base Camp Trekking route goes towards Dingboche. Therefore, this is also the destination for the seventh day. After having a fulfilling and tasty breakfast early in the morning, we start on the way that leads through rhododendron blossoms, pine forests, and other mystical views of nature and the beauty of landscapes.

After a few hours of walking, trekkers will have to cross the Imja Khola bridge and then ascend towards Pangboche. Pangboche is also the place where we stop for the lunch of the day. A few moments of rest after lunch and we again set off on the Luxury Trek to the Everest Base Camp. From there the stopping point is Dingboche, a lovely place with warm hospitality and so much more to offer. In this village, people's living relies on animal husbandry, and the vegetation of buckwheat, barley, and potatoes. You can explore the village for the rest of the day and the night stay, Global Adventure Trekking will have special arrangements at the Good Luck Hotel.

On the eighth day, we do not ascend anymore because today is the acclimatization day. We do not recommend trekkers to stay idle on this day. Instead, you can explore the village, interact with the locals, and appreciate the beauty of snow-capped mountains. Besides, you can also go for two different day hikes: a day hike to Nagarjuna viewpoint or a day hike to Chukung Valley Hike.

From Nagarjuna viewpoint, trekkers can get a close and clear view of the Makalu mountain (8,463 m) and also enjoy the magical sunset. However, if you hike to the Chhukung Valley, you can enjoy the spectacular views of some other mountains like Nuptse, Lothse, and Ama Damlam. If you want, you can also ascend to Chhukung Ri after having lunch. However, for the dinner and overnight stay, trekkers need to return to the hotel in Dingboche.

Early in the morning, the trekkers will have breakfast and leave Dingboche. The route follows a picturesque landscape and spectacular views of the mountains. As we keep walking, we reach Dhukla, a small village with sparse settlements. This is a perfect place to have a cup of tea or coffee and discuss the progression of the Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek. From there, we keep ascending until we reach the memorial of Chorten (who had lost their life during the Everest expedition). Besides, there are also so many other views and things to appreciate. For the nature lovers, this part can be such a blessing.

After walking in a pretty decent route for about 6 hours and covering 7 kilometers, we finally make our way to Lobuche. Remember that we are currently at the base of the Lobuche Peak. You can also book the Lobuche Peak Climbing Package with Global Adventure Trekking. For now, we go to the Moraine of Khumbhu Glacier, which offers panoramic views of Pumori and Nuptse.

Today is the day when we reach the highest point of the entire Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek. The hotel serves the best breakfast early in the morning after which we ascend towards the Everest Base Camp (5130 meters). You will pass through the most difficult part of the entire Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek Map to reach Gorakshep to EBC and back. Nevertheless, the experience and memories that trekkers get to collect in the Everest Base Camp make them forget all the pains and obstacles they face during the ascend.

Take a few moments to celebrate the success, take photographs, and videos, and interact with the mountaineers. However, we will not stay here for a longer period because of the unforeseen weather changes that can occur anytime at the base of the tallest peak in the world. Therefore, after spending some time in the base camp the trekkers need to descend to Gorakshep where they will have dinner and sleep.

The Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek ends on the eleventh day with a luxurious helicopter return from Gorakshep straight to Kathmandu. This helicopter ride will cover a total destination of 151 kilometers and let you explore the same landscapes, villages, forests, cities, etc but from an aerial view.

Within a few time, the trekkers will land at Kathmandu Airport where our representative will be waiting for them. They will take you to the hotel where you can check in get freshened up and come to visit our office. At night, there will be a special farewell dinner for the trekkers from Adventure Bound Team.

Finally, it's time to say goodbye as the Global Adventure Trekking team bids you farewell with the strong belief to see you again. Moreover, we also wish you all the best for your next travels and tours. You can share your experience in the Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek with Global Adventure Trekking on TripAdvisor and Google so that we can get better reviews and ratings.
