Lobuche Peak climbing lies on the Everest Base Camp trek route. Hundreds of climbers climb Lobuche Peak, situated at an altitude of 6,119 m in the Everest region. There are two summits at Lobuche Peak: Lobuche East, known as a trekking peak, and Lobuche West, known as an expedition peak, connected by a ridge and located at a considerable distance from each other. Both summits are shaped similarly, forming a triangle on each summit. You can view both of these summits from the Everest Kalapather.

Lobuche East, at an altitude of 6,145 meters, is one of the most difficult trekking peaks that climbers attempt to climb. The east peak consists of several small summits. The main summit is reached by climbing a steep and difficult snow slope. Rising above the moraines of the Khumbu glacier, the east face of Lobuche Peak looks like a dark triangle. Even though it is a difficult peak to climb, the trek to Lobuche Peak is exciting, as the place offers a variety of existing routes and opportunities to set up new trails. The experienced climber can combine it with Island Peak climbing, which is in the corner of Chhukung.

The trek to Lobuche Peak is popular because of the panoramic view of the Himalayan range. It offers a view of Mt. Everest, Ama Dablam, Kantega, Kwangde, Nuptse, Lhotse, and Everest, which are some of the mountains that can be seen from Lobuche Peak, which lies just above the village of Lobuche. The gorgeous landscape, the fascinating culture of the Sherpa people, and their generosity are some of the reasons why you should go on this trek.

Lobuche Peak Climbing: You will first head to the Everest Base Camp (EBC) for proper acclimatization. The route is also followed because of the proximity between EBC and Lobuche Peak. The trip starts with a slightly nerve-wracking flight to Lukla, from where we follow the Dudh Koshi Valley, traveling through lush valleys and Sherpa villages, including Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Pheriche, Lobuche, and Gorakshep, before finally setting camp at Everest Base Camp. From here, you will make your climb to Lobuche Peak. After the ascent, you will continue towards Gorakshep and then climb to Kala Pattar, from where you can enjoy the gigantic Mt. Everest at close range.

The best season to go on this trek is from March to May and September to November. We customize the above trip for 12 to 17 days. Please view our itinerary and cost below for your convenience.
