River are graded on a scale of one to six, with one being a swimming pool and six a one–way ticket to your maker. Four is considered to be quite challenging with out being exceedingly dangerous to the novice rafter. Five requires some previous river experience.

There have been 15 rivers opened in Nepal for rafting trips that range from one day trip to 13 day trips depending upon the requirements and rivers. Rafting in Nepal is best during Spring (March-May) and Autumn (Sep-Nov) season but is feasible even in winter season. Rafting in Nepalese rivers is considered to be the best for three reasons: soft sandy beaches, warm water temperature and natural and cultural settings.

Trisuli River Rafting 1/2 days

Trisuli River Rafting is the shortest rafting trips in Nepal. It is also one of the most popular because of the scenic Trisuli River. In the course of two days, you get to experience rafting in the mighty white waters of this beautiful river. An excellent opportunity for adventure lovers who love the thrill of getting splashed in the face while fighting currents of the river, Trisuli River Rafting also lets you observe natural landscapes. If you are beginners GAT suggests you in choose Trisuli River Rafting before setting on rafting trips to bigger rivers. The Grade of the river is three and mostly you will be on the raft about 3 hours in a day. If you are up for a challenge, raft in Trisuli during the monsoon, when the current is stronger and there are more powerful rapids and whirlpools. The location is easily accessible from the major towns of Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Chitwan. You can also sight cable cars heading towards the famous Manakamana temple during this trip.

Karnali River Rafting 09 days

Karnali River expeditions is the longest river in Nepal, located in the most isolated region of the Himalayan country. Rafting in Karnali River can be demanding especially after monsoon, when the flow of water is high and rapids are frequent. It is grade 4 plus river in Nepal and the most challenging river.

Sunkosi River Rafting 8-9 days

The Sunkosi river flows through untouched countryside of the central Nepal Himalayas. The River of Gold as it is known is one of the worlds top ten rivers, and is the perfect destination for white water adventure in Nepal. Sunkosi River Rafting takes us on 270 km journey through some of Nepals most remote regions. The rafting starts from Baseri in Dolalghat, 3 hours east of Kathmandu and ends at Chatara, near Dharan in the eastern Nepal and is expanded over a period of nine days. Sunkosi is said to be an unpredictable river. So, you never know what is going to come next. While the lower sections of the river are usually flat, the level of rapid increases as days pass building into great, thundering rapids. Seti River Rafting 2/3 days

The Seti River Rafting is particularly good for birdwatchers as there are lots of bird species that can be sighted near this river. The exotic Seti River passes through stunning jungle scenery, green hills and valleys. The two to three days rafting trip starts at Damauli, a five hour bus ride from Kathmandu and two hours from Pokhara and ends at Gaighat, which is located at a similar distance from both the capital and Pokhara. You will come across plenty of small and straightforward rapids in this 35 km river action. Kaligandaki River Rafting 3 days

This is a perfect trip for those looking for a short-medium length rafting trip. The starting point for Kaligandaki river rafting is Kusma, Baglung, 3 hours from Pokhara. Passing through narrow gorges, tumbling waterfalls and traditional Nepali villages, Kaligandaki river rafting comes to an end at Dam. This rafting trip is of 3 days and travels through 55 km of the Kaligandaki river, which originates from Tibet. The rapids that one faces during this rafting trip are mostly of grade III and IV types but at places, the grade can go higher. The rafters are kept busy by the continuous rapids. The trip culminates with the rafters getting spectacular view of the Mt Annapurna range, and dont be surprised to find villages by the riverside who especially come there to greet you. The Kaligandaki River Rafting trip is loved by both experienced and novice rafters.

Kayaking is fun and exciting because you are the in-charge of the boat. Itll just be you and the white water. Even beginners can learn to kayak, with our team of instructors who guide you and start off lessons with basic skills in calm water. Longer courses are popular and can be arranged.
