Tent Peak, also known as Tharpuchuli is situated right in the center of the Annapurna Sanctuary, just south of the Annapurna Base Camp. It is 5,663 meters 5,663-meter-high mountain that was given the name 'Tent Peak' in 1956 by Jimmy Roberts. A simply gorgeous mountain, Tent Peak is one of the most climbed mountain peaks in Nepal. It is perfect for those who would like to scale the summit of a higher mountain in the future. The climb to Tharpuchuli offers an unmatched view of the entire Annapurna range. The view of snow-clad mountains which consists of some of the highest mountains in the world from the top of the peak is indeed priceless.

Located south of the glacier dome, Tent Peak is a part of the ridgeline, also comprising of Singu Chuli which works as the main barrier between the arcs of peaks that surrounds the Sanctuary. The climb to Tent Peak is an adventurous one. It involves glacier travel, face climbing, and tiptoeing on knife ridges. The standard route to Tent Peak follows the northwest ridge to the summit. Other routes include following the South-east ridge as well as the southwest face.

The trek to Tent peak begins from Pokhara, a beautiful city located in the lap of Mt. Annapurna and Machhapurchre. On route, you will pass several beautiful villages- Dhampus, Landruk, Chhomrong, and Durban, where you get to see how ethnic Nepali people live. All along the way, you get to enjoy the stunning views of the mountains including Mt Annapurna and Mt Dhaulagiri which are above 8,000 meters mountains. Initially, the trail is steep, almost serpentine-like. Once you reach Annapurna Base Camp, you will head on to set up Tent Peak Base Camp from where you begin your climb to the Peak. The journey back after summiting the peak follows the same route until Annapurna Base Camp.

As you walk along the serene Modi Khola River, you will be enchanted by the richness of Nepal's geographical features. The trail takes you to the Annapurna Sanctuary, through fascinating villages and forests. The alpine plant, lush green forests, and colorful rhododendrons with a view of the mountains to accompany makes this journey truly magical. Furthermore, you get to experience the culture of Nepal as you pass several beautiful Gurung villages. Nepali people are famed for their warm hospitality and amicable nature and on this trek as you meet such people, you will understand why. For your details information please feel free to contact us.
