Today is the official day of your Nepal Gosaikunda Trek. The day begins with a hearty breakfast and Dhunche, and then sets off on the trail along the Trishuli River. After crossing the roaring river, a steady uphill climb begins. The ascent takes you through dense pine, oak, and rhododendron forest along the Langtang National Park. These forests are home to the elusive Red Panda. Keep your eyes open for a rare sighting.
After 5 hours of trek, you will reach your overnight destination at Chandanbari. The famous Sing Gompa is a spiritual highlight of Chandanbari. Take the opportunity to visit this ancient monastery.
Today’s trek takes you to the most anticipated destination of your trek. The journey to Gosaikunda Lake from Chandanbari begins with a steep ascent through lush forests. As you head to a higher altitude, you will find the terrain gradually transitioning into alpine scrub. Before reaching the sacred Gosaikunda Lake, you will cross Laurebinayak, a high ridge offering breathtaking views of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, and other surrounding peaks.
From Laurebinayak, you will travel along a narrow ridge and get the first glimpses of the holy lakes Saraswati Kunda and Bhairab Kunda, before finally reaching the sacred Gosaikunda Lake.
Your day begins with an immersive exploration of the sacred Gosaikunda Lake. Take in the beautiful surroundings and walk around the holy lake. This lake, believed to be created by Lord Shiva, has several small shrines on its shores. You can also perform religious rituals or take a holy dip in the sacred lake.
