Get to know Rajan Dahal
Rajan Dahal, founder and executive director of Global Adventure Trekking, was born in 1976 in Dhading, Nepal, under the Ganesh Himal and Manaslu ranges. He grew up in a mountain community and developed deep respect for people, culture, and nature.
Rajan began his career in Nepal’s mountain tourism industry in 1996 as a trekking guide, learning firsthand from the trails, the travelers and the communities he met on the way. This experience, along with formal training in trekking guiding, hospitality management, first aid, and environmental conservation, shaped his approach to responsible, meaningful travel.
Rajan started Global Adventure Trekking in 1998 with a simple vision to share the beauty and diversity of Nepal, while creating genuine connections between travelers and local communities. Today, it is a Nepal-based, locally owned adventure travel company that provides trekking, cultural tours, Himalayan adventures, and customized journeys across Nepal and the greater Himalayan region.
