Tsho Rolpa Lake Trek Itinerary

Everest base camp trek is a never-ending world-class trek in the Khumbu region. It is a once-in-a-lifetime adventure through the majestic Himalayan realm. Mount Everest is more than just a mountain and the journey to its base camp is more than a trek. The trek route is "the steps to heaven," Every corner in the trail provides another opportunity for you to photograph beautiful pine and Rhododendron forests, legendary Sherpa villages, snow-fed glacial moraines, and foothills. The fully supported trekking staff will bring you close to Sherpa culture before reaching Everest Base camp and its top

Flight to Lukla

The flight to Lukla mostly departs from Kathmandu domestic airport in the morning. It is just an hour's flight into the world's most adventurous airstrip. The aircraft is a small Twin Otter that carries about 16 passengers. This is the way to the Everest base camp in the Khumbu region. The morning flight offers the best view of mountains, including Gaurishankar, the Langtang Range, Makalu, Thamserku, Kusum Kangaroo, and many more.

Namche Bazar Village

After landing at Lukla, the EBC trek will begin with your guide and supported trek crew towards the northern part. This is a beautiful and easy day of the trek. Pass the small village of Chaurikharka, Chipling, and reach Phakding for your overnight stay. These villages are inhabited by the Sherpa people. In every village, there is a monastery, a mani wall, and painted boulders. Namche Bazar is the gateway to the Sagarmatha National Park trek. Namche is a beautiful Sherpa village and offers panoramic mountain views, including the world's tallest mountain, Amadablam. There are few pubs and bars where many climbers chill out after summiting the mountain. Visit the Monastery at Namche Bazar, Thame Monastery on the way to Renjola pass trek, The Yeti Skull at Khumjung Monastery, Hillary School, and Everest View Hotel (the highest hotel in the world), which are the most visited place in Everest Base Camp Hiking.

Tengboche Monastery

Tengboche Monastery is the biggest monastery in the Everest region of Nepal, situated at 3,870 m. It was built by Lama Gulu in 1916. This monastery was destroyed by an earthquake in 1934 and subsequently rebuilt. Again, in 1989, the monastery was destroyed by fire and rebuilt with the help of volunteers and international assistance. Every year, the Mane Rimdu festival is celebrated in November. This is also the best scenic viewpoint of the Everest region trek.

Everest Base Camp and Khumbu Glacier

Standing at an altitude of 8,848 m, Everest is the tallest mountain on earth. Base camp (5,300 m) is a rudimentary campsite for Everest, Lhotse, and Nuptse expeditions. The base camp is beside the Khumbu Glacier (the biggest glacier), where you can see the tented camp on the ice floes.

Kala patthar View point

The meaning of Kala Patthar, Black Rock,” is a scenic sunset viewpoint into Mt. Everest and its neighbors. It is just a 2-hour walk from Gorekshep in the north direction. This is the best scenic viewpoint to observe Mt. Everest and more. The daylight changes its color into gold, and there are no ones to disturb your peace or heal the purest air. From the top of Kala Patthar, you feel like you can kick the Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Pomari in the backyard. I mean, you are eye-to-eye with Mt. Everest.

Everest three-pass trek

Everest High Pass Trek is a most challenging and adventurous trek into the Khumbu region. Are you planning an Everest high pass trek? If so, the best-suggested route is Thame-Lunden-Renjo La Pass-Gokyo Lake-Chola Pass-Visit Everest Base Camp and Kongma La Pass from Lobuche and down to Dingboche. This will be the best option to make the Everest High Pass trek a success. All these high pass tops are the best places to experience the mountain above the clouds. Nowadays, the Manaslu Circuit Trek and the Annapurna Circuit have great combined trekking trails, as there are two high passes, Larka La Pass and Thorng La Pass.

Gokyo lake and Ngozumpa glacier

Gokyo Lake is a freshwater lake at an altitude of 4,700 m that takes about 10 days to hike. The view from Gokyo Ri is amazing, and there are no words to describe it. Besides the Gokyo Lake, there are a few more things to explore, like Cho Oyu Base Camp, the 5th Lake, and the longest Ngozumpa Glacier, which are the highlights of the trek. The reflection of the mountain view can be seen at Crystal Clear Gokyo Lake. Gokyo Lake trek with Renjo la pass is on everyone's bucket list.
