The journey to the PoonHill Viewpoint starts with our representatives taking you on a luxury bus drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. It takes about 8 hours for us to reach Pokhara covering a total distance of 200 kilometers or 124 miles. As we drive for a few hours from Kathmandu, the trekkers can notice the environment changing drastically. From the urban and dense houses in Kathmandu, we enter a sparsely settled part of the country. More greenery, more rivers, and such amazing views of the surrounding hills. You might also some houses far on top of the hills, making you think how is that even possible?

Within the next eight hours, we reach Pokhara and our bus directly stops at the hotel where the trekkers will rest for the night. As you get off the bus, you can get freshened up and take a stroll in the city of lakes, Pokhara. The lifestyle that you see in the lakeside is just amazing like nowhere in the world. One amazing fact about Pokhara Lakeside is that it never closes completely. Throughout the night you can stroll, have something to eat, and check out an amazing and unique lifestyle.

As this is the first day of the Ghorepani PoonHill Trek, we request the trekkers to rest properly. That is because, from the second day, we will set off on an amazing journey leading to the altitude of 3210 meters above sea level.

As you spend a night in Pokhara and wake up early in the morning to have breakfast, you will know how cool and chilling morning vibes this city of lakes has. After you finish with the breakfast, the guides will pick you up from the hotel and take you on a drive to Nayapul. Nayapul is the starting point of the Ghorepani PoonHill Trek, which means that our walking journey begins after the 1.5-hour drive from Pokhara to Nayapul.

from Nayapul, we ascend on the easiest section of the entire trek to Ghorepani PoonHill. The route starts with a gradual ascend and takes us through eye-soothing landscapes, serene rivers, waterfalls, suspension bridges, and many villages. Within the next 5 hours, the trekkers will find themselves in Ulleri, a beautiful village at an altitude of 2,070 meters above sea level. Remember that, this section of the trek consists of the stone-built staircase that consists of approximately 3000 steps.

Surrounded by verdant mountains, Ulleri also offers a scenic beauty of lush forests, picturesque landscapes, and majestic views of the distant mountains. Moreover, the Gurung and Magar people settled in this village offer warm hospitality and welcome to the trekkers.

On the third day, we will ascend to the largest rhododendron forest in the world, Ghorepani. The journey on this section of the Ghorepani PoonHill Trek begins after the trekkers have a fulfilling breakfast in the hotel. As per the previous trekkers and our experienced team, Day 3 is the most challenging section of the entire 7-Day Ghorepani PoonHill Trek. Therefore, we suggest the trekkers be more technical and prepare themselves for some actual adventure and adrenaline rush.

As soon as we start the journey, we need to cross a suspension bridge over a serene river and then ascend higher through a stone staircase. Another 2500 to 3000 counts of the staircase and the trekkers find themselves entering heaven. Seriously, once you reach there, you will know what heaven should feel like; cool breeze striking the trees, sounds of birds chirping, pleasant smell of the rhododendrons and other flowers in the route.

More beautiful than the route is the Ghorepani village itself which you will know why once you reach there. We begin the hike in the early dawn because PoonHill Viewpoint is best known for the sunrise view it offers. The trekkers will witness one of the most magical and spectacular views of the sun rising from beneath the mountains and the sky turning golden. Take as many photos and videos as you want because this probably will be the best moment for you.

This section of the 7-Day Ghorepani PoonHill Trek passes through dense forests, rhododendron blossoms, and traditionally settled villages, and the wonders of nature. Whether you are an adventure-seeker or a nature lover, this section of the Ghorepani PoonHill Trek is equally for both. After we immerse in the beauty of sunrise by the Himalayas, we need to descend and reach Tadapani on the same day. PoonHill to Tadapani is a quite long journey but as this is also a descending walk, it will not be very difficult. Nevertheless, trekkers need to walk for about 7 to 8 hours on the fourth day.

A beautiful set of memories you have collected in the PoonHill Viewpoint, the adventures you had while ascending to such a heavenly place, along with the lush forests, waterfalls, and so many other natural beautifications accompany today's walk. Upon reaching Tadapani, trekkers can either rest in the hotel or stroll around the village and interact with the locals. Dinner and overnight stay will be arranged by Global Adventure Trekking in a quality hotel or lodge.

From Tadapani, the trek descends even lower to the altitude of 1940, which is the location of one of the most beautiful Gurung settlements in the Annapurna region, Ghandruk village. Ghandruk village is so beautiful that the place keeps going viral on social media platforms. Moreover, the local Gurung people residing here prepare delicious and mouth-watering Thakali Khana Set.

Other than that, the trekkers also have an abundance of vistas to witness, a beautiful village to explore, and amazing Gurung locals to interact with. As you reach Nayapul, our representatives will be waiting in a private vehicle that will drive you from Nayapul to your hotel in Pokhara.
