Kathmandu Cultural Tour is a short and sweet two-day tour package that combines the cultural wonders and cultural heritage in and around Kathmandu Valley. Kathmandu culture tour package includes UNESCO world heritage sites "Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Patan Durbar Squares" along with the early 7th-century ancient cultural village Bungamati and medieval Newari cultural town Khokana.
On the first day, you visit two world heritage sites, namely Kathmandu and Bhaktapur Durbar Squares. Kathmandu Durbar Square, also known as Hanuman Dhoka Durbar, used to be the residence of the Nepali royal family and administrators and is a landmark historic attraction located in the heart of the capital city of Kathmandu. The large square is surrounded by ancient Newari architecture, a few temples, popular shrines, and the old royal palace. Bhaktapur Durbar Squares is a cluster of art, culture, and architecture. Bhaktapur is an ancient city known as Nepal's Cultural Gem, an open museum, a living heritage, and a City of Devotees renowned for its elegant art, fabulous culture, colorful festivals, traditional dances, and indigenous lifestyle of the Newari community.
On the second, day: you begin the trip by exploring Patan Durbar Square. The square is full of temples, statues, palaces, and the historical Patan Museum, filled with the traditional sacred arts of Nepal in an illustrious architectural setting. Then you explore the local Newari culture at Bungamati village, which is known as the hidden treasure and unspoiled and untouched confined Newari village. Yet again, you visit the medieval Newari town of Khokana, which was the first town in Nepal to be lit with electricity in 1911 AD. Khokana has been mainly known for the production of rich mustard oil since ancient times.
