Chulu West Peak Climbing Itinerary
Outline Itinerary
Day 01: Kathmandu to Beshisahar by bus then to Dharapani by sharing Jeep.
Kathmandu to Beshisahar is a scenic journey by bus through Prithivi High Way. It is just 180 km from Kathmandu. Upon arrival at Beshisahar, have lunch and prepare for another jeep drive to Dharapani.
Distance: Kathmandu to Besisahar- 172 km/5 hrs. and Besisahar to Dharapani--35 km/3 hrs.
Day 02: Dharapani trek to Chame 2,670 m./8,757 ft./6 hrs.
Chame is the district head quator of Lamjung district and all inter net services are available. The trail to Chame is easy and facing all the snow caped mountain and walking through Chir pine, We are walking through the upper part via Timang because it more scenic. Over night at Guest House.
Day 03: Chame trek to Lower Pisang 3,200 m./10,496 ft./6 hrs.
Slowely you are going to enter into the different world and gaining the elevation and walking through the pine forest. Pisang and Manang is the inhabitant of Gurung people. Over night at Guest House.
Day 04: Pisang trek to Manang 3,540 m./11,611 ft./5 hrs.
After leaving Pisang walking through Pine and Jupiter forest along the way. The path is much easier and surrounded by the Himalayan realm. Once reach Nwal stop for Lunch and continue to Manang overnight. Recommended path to Manang through Upper Pissang.
Day 05: Manang Acclimatize day.
Acclimatize day in Manang. Optional hike up to Tasi Lakang Gumba or Visit Gangapurna Lake
Day 09: Manang trek to Leder 4,200 m./13,776 ft./4 hrs.
Follow the Classic Annapurna Circuit Trail till Ledar. The path is beautiful with pine, fir, and Rhododendron flowers. Overnight at Guest house.
Day 10: Leder to Chulu West Base Camp 4,900 m./16072 ft.
Your Chulu west peak climbing and Annapurna circuit trek split from here to go over the pass to base camp. You are walking through the fragile rock and glacier towards Chulu West Base Camp. After 3 hrs. walking you arrived at Base Camp at an altitude of 4,900 m. Overnight at Tented camp.
Day 11: Base Camp trek to High Camp 5,600 m./18,368 ft.
From Base Camp to High Camp is not too far in distance takes about 4 hours. This is a tough day when you have to use main and fixed rope. Arrival and overnight at Tent.
Day 12: Summit 6,419 m./21,054 ft.day and back to High Camp
You will be starting at about 2 am for the summit because late afternoon it will be more windy. It is longer walking than climbing takes about 8 hrs in total to go and back then descend to high camp for night.
Day 13: Base Camp Trek to Throng High Camp 4,900 m./16,075 ft./4 hrs.
High camp is the place to gear up for the next day to Throng la pass 5416m. It will makes you easy to go for next day and the great sunrise and all entire range of mountain can be seen.
Day 14: High Camp over a Throng La 5,416 m./17,764 ft. to Muktinath 7 hrs. 3,760 m./12,332 ft.
This day is the hard day of your trek as we start early 5 A.M. for the Summit, experience the sunrise and long way to descent to Muktinath. Then you are entering into the different world which you may feel.
Day 15: Muktinath Trek to Jomsom 2,800 m.9,184 ft,/ 5 hrs.
The most relaxed day and walking into the dry land and facing to the dry mountain and warier land, hundred's of years monastery, Gumba and Tibetan tribes can be seen along the way. If you are more interest about Bon, then we will go via Lubra village.
Day 16: Morning fly to Pokhara- Aerial distance 68 km./ 20 min
All the flights leave in the morning (Pokhara-Jomsom-Pokhara). Arrive in Pokhara and explore the lake city Pokhara and free day. OR take a bus journey to Pokhara that will take 10 hours.

Day 17: Morning bus to Kathmandu 200 km./124 miles/8 hrs.
Arrival and transfer to Hotel. Evening fare well dinner at a Nepalese Restaurant.
